Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting, cost accounting, Human Resources, and Operations etc.
3. Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
4. Conduct regular ledger maintenance.
5. Prepare business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
6. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinate with external auditors.
7. Analyze financial reports and seek ways to reduce costs.
8. Work closely with the CFO to ensure smooth operation of all finance matters.
9. Contribute to the decision-making process of management that will ensure business growth and long-term success.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
3. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), internal controls, and financial reporting, required.
4. Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP, SEC rules and regulations including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
5. Experience in the medical industry is preferred.
6. Experience with cost accounting and budgeting.
7. Proven experience as an auditor with a solid understanding of auditing processes.
8. Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
9. Strong written and oral communication skills.
10. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
11. High proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g., SAP).
12. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
