As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our financial operations. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance with legal and company regulations.
2. Preparing accurate and timely financial reports and statements, ensuring appropriate accounting control procedures.
3. Managing the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and report variances.
4. Coordinating with operations and project management teams to monitor progress and make necessary budget adjustments.
5. Performing monthly balance sheet, income statement, and changes in financial position/budget variance analysis.
6. Implementing and maintaining robust financial management systems, processes, and controls.
7. Assisting with the development of financial strategies and long-term business plans.
8. Ensuring all financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation.
9. Facilitating and completing monthly close procedures and updating monthly financial reporting packages.
Job Details
To be considered for this position, you must have:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in accounting or a related field, preferably within the construction industry.
3. Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, operations, and monthly reporting.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial management software.
5. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven business decisions.
7. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
9. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
