About the Job
We have a fantastic Senior Accountant opportunity with a private-equity backed business in Northern Virginia. This role will work very closely with the private-equity sponsor and will have great exposure. Responsibilities:
Prepare ongoing journal entries and accruals
Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare monthly income statements
Oversee all AP and AR, ensuring that all bills and invoices are paid and properly accounted for
Maintain AR aging report
Record expense allocations, monthly accruals, and make adjusting journal entries as needed
Conduct cash on hand analyses and reconcile cash accounts to ensure accuracy
Assist with payroll management
Partner with external auditors throughout the audit process
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
3+ years of experience
Public accounting preferred
CPA preferred
