Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant who thrives in a dynamic environment. This role will oversee daily accounting tasks, month-end close processes, financial reporting reviews, and special projects. Success requires meticulous attention to detail along with strong collaboration and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, prepaid amortization, and accruals.
Reconcile general ledger accounts such as cash, prepaids, accrued expenses, fixed assets, leases, and inventory.
Review financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
Drive process improvements within the accounting function to enhance scalability and efficiency.
Manage travel expenses and credit card reconciliations.
Collaborate cross-functionally to implement accounting policies and procedures.
Assist with audit requests from internal and external auditors.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting; CPA preferred.
5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial analysis.
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
Experience in auditing and technical accounting research.
Preferred Experience:
Background in the medical or technology industries is advantageous.
Familiarity with Sage's Intact, Brex Empower, and Lease Query is a plus.
