Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts for properties and corporate entities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets
- Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments and collections
- Monitor cash flow and liquidity, manage bank reconciliations, and optimize cash position
- Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support external auditors during annual audits
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Controller or CFO
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the real estate industry
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skill
