This position is located in Malibu, CA. You must be able to come into the office to take advantage or our ocean views. We are open to a 1-2 days work from home.

Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Property Management and possess excellent communication and analytical skills. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our property management portfolio, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

Manage the accounting functions for our property management portfolio, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
Perform monthly CAM reconciliations and ensure accurate billing and collection of tenant charges.
Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management for improving financial performance.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and IFRS.
Work closely with property managers to ensure accurate financial reporting and budgeting.
Assist with the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
Participate in audits and provide support to auditors as needed.
Train and mentor junior accounting staff.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related.
3+ years of experience in Property Management accounting.
Experience with Yardi software and CAM reconciliations required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented and highly organized.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
