Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
1. Overseeing daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
2. Participating in regular tax audits and payroll.
3. Preparing budgeting reports and forecasting revenue.
4. Ensuring the company's financial security by establishing internal controls.
5. Managing month-end and year-end closing.
6. Monitoring the daily performance of the accounting department.
7. Organizing financial data into usable information and maintain updated records.
8. Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
9. Contributing to the development of company financial strategies and plans.
10. Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to manage financial aspects.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the Accounting and Finance industry.
3. Proficiency in accounting software, as well as a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4. Knowledge and experience in AP / AR is essential.
5. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
6. Excellent mathematical skills and an analytical mind.
7. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
8. The ability to manage large amounts of data and compile detailed reports.
9. Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.
10. Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with financial software.
11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to a non-financial audience.
