Job Summary and Qualifications
We are seeking an Accountant Lead. As our Accounting lead you will provide financial reporting guidance and assistance to Hospital finance teams. This includes month end close activities, accounting policies, financial analysis, annual budgets, SOX compliance and capital management. What you will do in this role:
- You will update procedure codes, daily balancing, calculate and enters yearly price increases.
- You will maintain and balance all capital purchases.
- You will record and adjust additions, disposals, transfers and depreciation on a monthly basis.
- You will prepare required SOX documentation for Fixed Assets.
- You will prepare journal entries, reports, and account analysis
- You will assist with all inventory audits and monitoring Inventory accounts
- You will assist in gathering information and preparing schedules for all internal and external audits, tax work papers, Medicare Cost report work papers, and the yearly operating budget.
What Qualifications you will need:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting or Finance.
- A Minimum of 5 years progressively more responsible related work experience.
- Healthcare accounting experience.
- CPA preferred.
- Advanced knowledge and skill in the use of Excel, Word and Accounting Information systems.
- Ability to prepare statistical and narrative accounting reports.
- Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills.
- Must have a thorough understanding of Cash Revenue and be able to perform analysis as well as give SMA, Budget, and Medicare Exhibit guidance. Understands DSS reporting.
- Must be advanced Excel user (includes pivot tables, v-lookup, charts/graphs, etc.)
