Job Details
Job Summary: The Senior Consolidations Accountant will provide accounting support to international teams while ensuring adherence to US GAAP and company policies. This role involves managing consolidation processes, overseeing intercompany transactions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve financial accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Support international accounting teams and ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.
Lead the month-end consolidation of Aimbridge subsidiaries, including foreign currency translation and intercompany balance eliminations.
Manage intercompany transactions and ensure accurate posting and reconciliation.
Handle month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, reporting, and analysis.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of policies and procedures.
Provide insights on the financial impact of business decisions to FP&A and business teams.
Ensure effective internal controls over financial processes and work with management to enhance controls.
Assist in the preparation and coordination of external audits.
Drive process improvements in the consolidation and close process for greater efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required).
Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, with at least 1 year in public accounting preferred.
CPA designation preferred.
Strong understanding of US GAAP, internal controls, and major ERP systems.
Experience in global consolidation procedures, intercompany accounting, and foreign currency matters.
Experience with JDE preferred.
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and organization.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive process improvements.
