Senior Accountant - Medical Guardian

About the Job
Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization. The senior accountant's responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.
Hybrid Schedule: On-site 3 days out of the week (Tuesday through Thursday)
Responsibilities:
- Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
- Work closely with the Controller to design and implement procedures and documented best practices for the accounting department
- Prepare and create any necessary reports or presentations while seeking improvement and efficiencies
- Assisting with annual audit preparations and requests
- Heavily involved in the financial close process including preparing and posting general ledger journal entries
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
- Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned
- Review and analyze financial information and identify items requiring action (accruals, reversals, etc.)
- Assisting with accounting system integration tasks
- Maintaining cross departmental communication to ensure accurate and reliable data enters accounting systems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 3-5 years of experience in corporate accounting
- Strong organizational ability to multi-task
- Robust working knowledge of MS Excel
- Strong financial analysis skills
- Experience in SaaS Industry preferred
- Inventory experience preferred
