About the Role
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing team. This is a fully onsite role offering significant growth opportunities, including the potential to transition into a Controller position in the next 5+ years. The ideal candidate is a go-getter with strong technical expertise, adaptability, and enthusiasm for accounting. You will handle the majority of the full-cycle close independently and serve as a vital right-hand to the [Manager/Controller].

responsibilities:
- Perform full-cycle month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure accounting processes align with organizational goals, following direction as needed.
- Support financial reporting and analysis efforts to provide insights into business performance.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and maintain accurate records.
- Develop and maintain advanced Excel models to streamline reporting and analysis.
- Partner with the team to improve processes and systems as needed.
- Support future growth initiatives, including potential leadership of direct reports.
qualifications:
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 5-8 years of accounting experience, with at least one year in a CPA firm (audit preferred over tax).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statement preparation.
- Proven ability to perform a full-cycle close independently.
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, v-lookups, complex formulas).
- Familiarity with accounting software; experience with various platforms is a plus.
- A CPA license is a bonus but not required.
- Flexible and adaptable mindset; able to follow leadership direction and work collaboratively.
- Self-motivated and proactive with a strong sense of initiative; must be a go-getter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
