We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in the medical industry. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to work in a thriving industry with a vast array of opportunities for career advancement. The Senior Accountant will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health of our organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing strategic insights to drive our financial success.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing and maintaining the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
2. Performing monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary.
3. Analyzing and reporting on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation, and analysis.
4. Preparing and posting monthly journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
5. Ensuring the timely completion of month-end close procedures.
6. Preparing detailed monthly actual to budget variance reports to support budget control.
7. Assisting in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements.
8. Developing and maintaining internal control and effective accounting system and policies for the set up support.
9. Working closely with the finance team to ensure smooth operation of all finance matters.
10. Providing insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the medical industry.
3. Strong knowledge of general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, financial reporting, month-end close, and financial statements.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
8. A proactive approach to work, with a strong drive to exceed expectations.
9. High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
