Senior Accountant - Addison Group

Addison Group Los Angeles, in partnership with a Ventura County company, seeks an Senior Accountant on an interim or interim with possibility of hire basis.

Job - The successfully hired Senior Accountant will be working on intercompany accounting transactions, running the periodic closes, financial reporting, journal entries, account reconciliation and revenue accounting tasks.

Job Site Status – Our client has a hybrid work schedule (3-4 days/week in the office).

Compensation – Hourly rate range is $50-$60/hour.

DUTIES OF THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

General Ledger (G/L) Accounting

·        Lead/develop your accounting team during the month and quarter-end closing processes.

·        Oversee AP, AR, and Payroll functions.

·        Review all relevant entries, vendor payments, and intercompany transactions.

·        Perform balance sheet reconciliations.

·        Consolidate financial statements to produce an accurate corporate balance sheet.

Revenue Accounting

·        Review customer contracts and billings.

·        Ensure that revenue has been recognized in accordance with US GAAP

·        Perform ASC 606 analysis.

·        Perform month-end duties including account reconciliation, computation of revenue/deferred revenue, accrual estimates, and review of revenue trends.

Financial Reporting

·        Prepare balance sheet and P&L account analysis & reconciliations.

·        Cash flow and sales forecasting.

Miscellaneous

·        Maintain relationships with key lenders, insurance brokers, and vendors.

·        Accept other ad hoc duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Required

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration with an Accounting focus

·        Industry background from manufacturing, distribution, or consumer products

·        Corporate General Ledger experience

·        At least four (4) years of progressive accounting experience

·        Current GAAP knowledge

·        Intercompany accounting experience

·        Sales tax experience.

Preferred

·        CPA

·        International exposure
