About the Job

Kforce's client, a long running and growing non-profit located in the Greater Boston area seeks an experienced Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing management reports, monthly closing and financial analyses, including monthly journal entries. The Senior Accountant will also participate in the budgeting process and special projects that arise. Senior Accountant will assist Manager, Assistant Controller and Controller in the monthly closing
Review and reconcile monthly credit card and expense reports from employees and record monthly activities in NetSuite
Senior Accountant will record monthly recurring journal entries in NetSuite
Record monthly activities for charitable gift annuities
Assist Manager in preparing selected program and departmental reports
Senior Accountant will provide monthly financial reports, including variance analysis
Assist in preparation of annual budgets

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA is a plus)
Strong technical accounting skills with a working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Financial Reporting
Strong analytical and project management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly proficient in accounting software
Ability to creatively and proactively solve problems
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
