We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of a fast-paced, high-performing team, where you will be responsible for managing the company's financial processes and ensuring financial accuracy. This role will provide you with the opportunity to apply your expertise in accounting, financial analysis, and cash flow management to contribute to our company's financial success.
Responsibilities:
As our Senior Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Preparing accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department.
2. Conducting regular ledger processes and reconciling accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
3. Analysing financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO's attention.
4. Reviewing all inter-company transactions and generating invoices as necessary.
5. Conducting broad audits or assisting with audits conducted by others.
6. Preparing corporate tax returns and other necessary financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
7. Managing the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of payments and invoices.
8. Assisting in the formulation of budgetary and accounting policies.
9. Preparing financial presentations using keynote, including charts, graphs, and tables to present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
10. Assisting with cash flow management and forecasting, and maintaining the general ledger system.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior role.
3. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4. High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and experience with accounting software and databases.
5. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control principles, and Automated Financial & Accounting Reporting Systems.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial data in a clear and concise manner.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high levels of accuracy.
8. Experience with tax preparation, financial statement analysis, and cash flow management.
9. Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
10. A strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
