Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Oversight: Manage and track all financial aspects of assigned projects, ensuring accurate cost tracking, invoicing, and reporting in compliance with government contracts and regulations.
Contract Compliance: Review and interpret contract terms and conditions, ensuring all financial obligations are met, and assisting with the preparation of financial documentation for government audits or reviews.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist with the creation and management of project budgets and forecasts, ensuring adherence to allocated funds, and identifying cost variances.
Billing & Invoicing: Prepare and submit timely and accurate invoices to government clients in accordance with contract terms and requirements.
Project Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports for project managers and senior leadership, providing insights into the financial health of projects and highlighting any risks or issues.
Reconciliation & Analysis: Perform regular reconciliation of project costs, including labor, materials, and other expenses, ensuring accurate financial records and reporting.
Government Audits & Compliance: Support audits and reviews by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries related to project financials, ensuring compliance with relevant government regulations and requirements.
Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with project managers, finance teams, and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations and timely project completion.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3-5 years of experience in project accounting, preferably within the medical, healthcare, or government contracting sectors.
Strong understanding of government contract requirements, billing regulations, and compliance standards.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Deltek) and Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and other relevant government contracting guidelines.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
CPA or CMA certification is a plus but not required.
