We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in the manufacturing space. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
2. Manage and oversee inventory related financial transactions and records.
3. Maintain general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
4. Summarize financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss, and other statements.
5. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
6. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
7. Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
8. Provide technical accounting advice within area of expertise to functional or operational areas managers to help them develop revenue and expense budgets, understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibilities.
9. Analyze and implement new accounting standards related to revenue recognition.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. CPA or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
4. Public Accounting experience highly preferred
5. Proven experience with inventory, technical accounting, and revenue recognition.
6. Strong understanding of accounting theory, principles, and practices.
7. Excellent analytical and numerical skills and attention to detail.
8. Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
10. Up-to-date knowledge of current financial and accounting computer applications.
11. Proficient in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and other business-related software.
