Job Details
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Generate monthly development budgets and compare them to the actual budget.
- Generate monthly financial statements
- Maintain various schedules for land deposits
- Facilitate the flow of information to the auditors for year-end audits, 10% test reports, cost certification, and tax returns.
- Prepare the monthly pre-development budget for various seed projects (20+).
- Review accounting entries to numerous registers, journals, and logs
- Follow the Company’s established accounting processes.
- Review accounts payable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of the invoice creation and entry
- Perform bank reconciliations as required
- Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts
- Prepare documentation for external auditors
- Work with developers to ensure construction draws are paid in a timely manner
- Provide detailed analysis and explanations of all transactions
Education (or Equivalent Experience)
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in the low-income housing tax credit segment of the industry.
- 4+ years’ experience in construction/real estate development accounting
