Senior Accountant

A growing health and wellness company located in Miami is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their accounting and finance team.  This position will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of timely and accurate financial records for the company and play a critical role in the daily, weekly, and monthly activities within the accounting department.  This is a hybrid position and the company is willing to pay up to $100k base salary plus bonus. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Maintain and reconcile all GL accounts including bank and credit card accounts

• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded timely and accurately

• Prepare and post journal entries

• Assist with review of financial statements and perform variance analysis

• Assist in preparation of tax filings

• Assist with special projects

• Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounting processes

• Assist with external auditors’ requests

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance

• At least 3-5 years of experience in Accounting and Finance or related field

•  1-2 years of public accounting experience preferred

• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Procedures (GAAP)

• Working knowledge of Quickbooks Desktop and Quickbooks Online

• Experience with larger accounting software (Netsuite, Dynamics, Great Plains, etc.)
