Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will assist the Corporate Controller and CFO with overseeing the GAAP accounting of our portfolio companies. Your expertise in construction cost accounting, job costing, and percentage-of-completion schedules (POC) will ensure the financial integrity of our operations. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare and review bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Maintain and oversee monthly prepaid and accrual schedules, ensuring proper accounting entries.
• Support the preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial statements, including variance analysis.
• Manage reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts and maintain supporting workpapers.
• Assist in job costing, POC schedules, and unbilled revenue schedules as needed.
• Provide support to auditors, tax advisors, and other internal teams.
• Assist with the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with sales tax filing requirements and drive an 8-day month-end close.
• Participate in ERP implementations and other ad hoc accounting projects.

What You’ll Need:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, construction cost accounting, and POC methods.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel; experience with Sage 300 and Sage Intacct ERP preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
