Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and company policies.
General Ledger Management: Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.
Audit Support: Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, ensuring timely completion and resolution of audit findings.
Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including cost analysis, profitability assessments, and financial modeling.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, reporting requirements, and industry standards.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy.
Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior accountants and finance staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with a focus on financial reporting and general ledger management.
Experience in the media, entertainment, or related industry is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and best practices.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
