Senior Accountant - Marcum Search

Marcum Search is assisting our client in their search for a Senior Accountant in Mayfield Heights, OH.

Job Description

Our client is looking for motivated, qualified candidates for a senior accountant position. Candidates should have at least 3-5 to years of accounting or tax experience. Candidates will work closely with our partner and management team to serve our clients.

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Perform audit, review, and compilation procedures, including workpaper preparation
• Prepare financial statements
• Prepare business and individual tax returns
• Perform research and analysis necessary to resolve accounting and tax issues
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with client personnel
• Understand the client’s industry and recognize trends and industry developments that impact the client
• Supervise staff as necessary to maintain quality client service and foster an environment of teamwork

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Hold CPA licensure or actively pursuing licensure
• Candidates must be detail oriented with ability to multi-task
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Skilled problem solver with research and analytic ability
• Ability to function with minimal supervision, including supervising and mentoring staff
• Dedication to teamwork
• Commitment to professional growth and continuous learning
• Proficiency with MS Office suite of products and accounting and tax software programs
