Senior Accountant Job in Madison, WI

A highly-respected non-profit in Madison is looking for their next Senior Accountant to join the team. If you want to be part of an organization that makes a HUGE impact on people's lives, then this is the role for you!

Job Duties:

• Assist CFO with financial activities and annual budget preparation
• Month-end close process including preparation and posting of journal entries
• Prepare monthly financial statements and ad-hoc reports
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Reconciles various asset and liability accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis and other financial documents to ensure grant or contract compliance
• Completes all scheduled or requested fiscal or operational reports in a timely manner.
• Prepare requested and/or required materials for annual audit process

Job Qualifications:

• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Non-profit experience REQUIRED
• Process improvement mindset
• Communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organization
