We are actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting and finance, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for numbers. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our company, ensuring our operations are running smoothly, and that our financial reports are accurate and compliant with laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
2. Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
3. Report to management regarding the finances of the establishment.
4. Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.
5. Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
6. Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
7. Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, or other tax requirements.
8. Advise management about issues such as resource utilization, tax strategies, and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
9. Provide internal and external auditing services for businesses or individuals.
10. Appraise, evaluate, and inventory real property and equipment, recording information such as the description, value, and location of property.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a must.
3. Minimum 3 years of experience in general ledger accounting or related field.
4. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. High attention to detail and accuracy.
6. Ability to direct and supervise.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel and other financial software.
10. Ability to work independently, manage large, complex projects, and balance multiple tasks.
