This is an on-site opportunity, Monday through Friday 8 AM - 5 PM with some overtime.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s financial accounts, budgeting, and cash management while ensuring our company's financial plans are accurate and viable. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles and a keen interest in the construction industry. The candidate should have experience in GL, Reconcile, A/R, Ledger, Financial Reporting, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliations, Work In Progress, Forecasting, MS Excel, Analytical Reports, Staff Management, and Problem Solving.

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s financial accounts, budgeting, and cash management while ensuring our company's financial plans are accurate and viable. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles and a keen interest in the construction industry. The candidate should have experience in GL, Reconcile, A/R, Ledger, Financial Reporting, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliations, Work In Progress, Forecasting, MS Excel, Analytical Reports, Staff Management, and Problem Solving.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting, cost accounting, Human Resources, and Operations etc.
- Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports appropriate for users and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
- Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting as compared to budget.
- Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures.
- Communicate financial metrics to senior management.
- Provide leadership and support to accounts receivable and accounts payable departments.
- Manage the preparation of payroll for personnel.
- Keep up-to-date on current HR trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 5+ years’ experience in a senior accounting or financial management role.
- Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
- Experience with GL, Reconcile, A/R, Ledger, Financial Reporting, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliations, Work In Progress, Forecasting, MS Excel, Analytical Reports, Staff Management, and Problem Solving.
- Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, and databases.
- Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
- Able to analyze financial records and transfer information.
- Data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to direct and supervise.
