You Will:
- Collect and analyze financial data and prepares monthly combined financial statements reports. Performs additional analysis for explanatory text required for reports and statement.
- Train and review the work of lower-level employees.
- Coordinate preparation of monthly financial package and reviews for accuracy.
- Maintain general ledger by gathering and posting entries, reviewing all entries made, reconciling accounts or coordinating the reconciliation of accounts to the general ledger.
- Coordinate monthly general ledger closing.
- Reconcile 95% general ledger balance sheet.
- Ensure maintenance and application of internal controls.
- Assist and review accounting for subsidiary operations performed by accounting staff.
- Participate in monthly financial meetings for discussion and review of monthly financial reports.
- Provide guidance to other Finance personnel for proper internal and external financial accounting procedures and their application.
- Assist in employee evaluation process, counsel employees and effectively recommend initial discipline and other personnel decisions.
- Provide input into goal setting for the department.
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
- Perform internal audits of accounts payable, payroll distribution, fixed assets and cash.

To Ensure Success in This Role, You Must Have:
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, and at least 2 years of accounting experience in a corporation with multiple locations.
- Must have Excel skills, self-direction, and the ability to work with individuals at every level in the organization.
- Detailed oriented, knowledgeable, and able to work independently and within a team.
- Must have knowledge in GAAP and excellent communication skills.
