Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting operations, from financial management and forecasting to reconciliations and tax compliance. The role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a position that offers a great opportunity for professional growth and development.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards and procedures.
2. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
3. Conduct monthly and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
4. Develop and maintain annual budgets and financial forecasts, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions when necessary.
5. Perform account reconciliations and manage accounts payable and receivable.
6. Process invoices and manage collections, ensuring timely payments and maintaining accurate records.
7. Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
8. Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors, providing necessary financial information and documentation as required.
9. Implement and maintain financial software systems, such as QuickBooks, Stone Edge, and NetSuite, to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
10. Provide financial analysis and strategic planning support to senior management, contributing to the company's overall financial strategy and decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Stone Edge, and/or NetSuite.
4. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
5. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
6. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
7. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with all levels of management.
9. High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
10. Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and procedures.
11. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
