Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant with 3-5 years of experience and Full Cycle, General Ledger Accounting. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in financial reporting and cost analysis, with a proven ability to manage complex accounting functions and support financial decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Month and Year-end Close Process: general journal entries with proper documentation, accruals, account analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
• Full cycle accounting: apply generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.
• Prepare accurate and timely financials in accordance with established schedule and with input from the rest of the Accounting Team.
• Review bank reconciliations for accuracy and communicate any stale checks to the appropriate departments.
• Review CIP accounts for accuracy as well as a thorough review of fixed assets monthly, including but not limited to review of expenses to see if they need to be capitalized.
• Job Cost Accounting: Accurately track and analyze job costs, including labor, materials, and overhead. Ensure accurate allocation of costs to specific projects and provide detailed reports on job profitability.
• Prepares support for internal and external audits.
• Adapt to changing priorities and demonstrate flexibility for overtime during busy periods.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' of professional accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Job Cost Accounting preferred
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, showing a sense of urgency and adaptability.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
