Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
- Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets
- Perform audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements
- Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
- Report analysis and findings to management team
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations
- Prepare and file tax returns
- Aid in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines
- Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information
- Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
- Manage all aspects of cost accounting
- Collaborate with external auditors when needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is mandatory
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role
- Prior experience in the Scientific industry is a plus
- Experience with Big 4 accounting firms is highly desirable
- Proficiency in NetSuite or equivalent financial software
- Strong understanding of accounting theory and GAAP
- Experience with SEC filings and regulations
- Highly skilled in cost accounting
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
