• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with a proven track record in a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAGE, or Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Thorough understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Effective communication and leadership skills to mentor junior team members.
• Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable recommendations.

responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, and receivable.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciling accounts and preparing financial reports.
• Coordinate audits and work closely with external auditors to provide necessary documentation.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including tax filings and reporting requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations prepared by junior staff.
• Monitor internal controls and recommend improvements to ensure efficient operations and safeguard assets.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support business initiatives.
• Lead or assist in the implementation of new accounting systems and software as needed.
