Senior AccountantResponsibilities:

- Accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, credit memos and collections through QuickBooks
- Intercompany transfers and reconciliations for multiple companies
- Perform monthly, quarterly and annual accounting functions including journal entries, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Review and post employee expense reports and credit card expenses
- Customer and Vendor setup and maintenance including W-9 request
- Request Sales Tax Exemption Certificates, review QuickBooks related sales tax reports and file multiple state sales tax returns
- Assist with quarter and year-end closing including 1099's/1096 reporting and tax preparation work papers
- Assist with recurring accruals, depreciation and amortization entries
- Assist in the preparation of forecasts and annual budgets
- Assist in purchasing including producing purchase orders and work orders related to inventory and sales
- Verify and match purchase orders and packing slips to invoices
- Assist with inventory counts, inventory control, bill of materials and other areas related to inventory
- Supports accounting and management teams with recurring weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end spreadsheets, and reports
- Monitor cash flow via daily bank activity review
- Prepare ad hoc reports for upper management using Excel and other software
- Other Accounting and HR duties and projects as assigned
- Performs work directly related to the analysis of company financials requiring the regular exercise of discretion and judgment
- Excel and Microsoft Office experience
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting and 3+ years of accounting experience, however will considerĀ more experience in lieu of a degree
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, strongly preferred
- NetSuite Experience preferred
- CRM Knowledge - Salesforce preferred
- Software migration experience preferred
- Understanding and knowledge of accounting
- Manufacturing experience and knowledge
- Purchasing and inventory control knowledge
- Sales tax returns experience and knowledge
- Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Outstanding analytical skills: ability to compile and analyze data, prepare reports and verify data
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Attention to detail and a high level of organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Strong communication and written skills
