Simply Dental Management is looking for a Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a combination of analytical and critical thinking skills and enjoy a collaborative, team environment.
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in overseeing general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. Responsibilies include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures while ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks.
Simply Dental Management's family of practices serve patients in MA, NH, and CT. Our network of over 40 practices offers orthodontics, general and pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, periodontics, and endodontics.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and reconcile accounts payables and receivables
- Produce error-free accounting reports and clearly present their results with actionable takeaways
- Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and profitability
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
- Provide input into department's goal setting process
- Prepare financial statements and compare to budget
- Assist with tax audits
- Assist with internal and external audits to ensure compliance
- Manage and support month-end and year-end close process
- Assist with development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a senior accountant or staff accountant with leadership responsibility
- Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures
- In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Awareness of business trends
- Mastery of financial accounting statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Experience and comfort with multi-unit accounting and businesses
- Hands-on experience with accounting software packages
- Advanced MS Excel skills including pivot tables
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
- BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
- Relevant certification preferred (CMA or CPA)
Remote Work: Is available on Wednesdays and Fridays for this position and must report to the office on Monday, Tuesdays, and Thursdays
Hours: This position is a standard Full-Time position, with general business operating schedule, Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
