Senior Accountant - Creative Financial Staffing

Our client, a small, family-owned business specializing in the construction space, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This role offers the unique chance to grow into the Controller position as the company transitions leadership roles.

Senior Accountant Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Exposure to construction or manufacturing industries = major plus.
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP software experience (Sage 100 preferred).
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and excellent problem-solving abilities.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure GAAP compliance.
• Oversee the general ledger, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes and monitor variance analysis.
• Conduct detailed project cost and job costing analyses for profitability insights.
• Support audits and ensure adherence to financial regulations.
• Mentor junior staff and identify areas for process improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations.
