We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Controller to join our thriving Medical Industry team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned financial professional to make a significant impact on the future of our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of the financial operations including the day-to-day accounting practices, balance sheets, financial statements, general ledger, payroll, budgeting, and tax compliance.
2. Develop and coordinate necessary and appropriate accounting and statistical data for all departments.
3. Evaluate and manage risk, perform financial audits, create forecasts, and ensure the company’s financial commitments are met.
4. Direct and coordinate the preparation of budgets, financial reports, forecasts, and direct investment activities.
5. Oversee the cash flow planning process and ensure funds availability.
6. Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction and monitor the performance of the organization.
7. Implement and manage financial controls and policies.
8. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports.
9. Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a similar financial management role in the medical industry.
3. Proficient in General Ledger, Financial Auditing, Cash Flow Management, and Financial Statements.
4. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model.
6. Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with proven success in managing a team.
7. Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced knowledge of Excel.
8. Experience in managing multiple entities and complex transactions.
9. Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence – ability to motivate staff.
10. Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
