Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Experienced Corporate Accountant to join our accounting team. As an Experienced Corporate Accountant, you will play a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate financial close and reporting for the corporate and consolidated results of the Company. This individual will collaborate closely with various departments, including finance, operations, and executive management, to enhance financial processes and contribute to the overall success of the company.
Essential Functions
Month-End and Year-End Close:
Coordinate and execute month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Reconcile general ledger accounts, prepare journal entries, and perform necessary adjustments.
Perform flux analysis, account reconciliations and transactional research monthly and on an ad-hoc basis.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits, ensuring compliance and providing necessary documentation.
Process Improvement And Systems Enhancement
Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and system enhancements to streamline financial operations and improve efficiency.
Actively participate in system implementations or upgrades related to financial systems, providing subject matter expertise and user support.
Team Collaboration And Leadership
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development and growth.
Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as finance, operations, and legal to support strategic initiatives and address financial matters.
Serve as a subject matter expert, providing insights and recommendations on accounting principles, policies, and best practices.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA certification is highly preferred, not required.
3+ years in corporate accounting or public accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across various levels of the organization.
