Senior Accountant - Ledgent Finance & Accounting

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage and oversee the daily operations of our accounting department. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial statements, performing reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, and supporting budgeting and audit processes. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of accounting principles and demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure the timely preparation of reports for management.
- Manage and reconcile all accounts, including fixed assets, liabilities, and revenue.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Support audits, both internal and external, and ensure adherence to company policies and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance and operations, to streamline processes and support business growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
