About the Job
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as necessary
- Maintain and update accounting records and systems
- Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely completion of tasks
- Prepare account reconciliations and review for discrepancies
- Support year-end audits by providing necessary documentation and schedules
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations
- Contribute to the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity
- Collaborate with other departments, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, to ensure seamless operations
- Provide financial insights to support decision-making for leadership and other teams
- Leverage accounting software and tools to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification preferred
- Minimum of 4-6 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or similar role
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in [specific industry, e.g., manufacturing, government contracting, nonprofit]
- Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced financial tools
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
