About the Job
We are currently searching for an Senior Accountant for a Cutting Edge Multi - Company Group in North County.
If you're a skilled accountant and enjoy solving mid-complex problems, we are currently looking for a talented Accounting Supervisor to join their team on a full-time basis.
You will be in charge of preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation.
Throughout the monthly close, you will also be responsible for various aspects of internal reporting. Lend your skills towards developing and implementing accounting policies. In addition, you will take part in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and look over schedules for the reporting processes.
This position plays an intricate part in producing consolidated Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, Comparisons to Forecasts, and Budgets.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Yes
- Produce journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
- Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
- Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision
- Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation
- Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting
- Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
- Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries
- Participate in various entity & department-wide initiatives
- Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner
- In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
- Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls ensuring compliance with GAAP
- Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting
- Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Skills and Qualifications
- MS Office & Excel spreadsheet and database capabilities
- Great attention to detail
- Proven analytical skills
- Defining problems, collecting relevant data, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement/corrective actions
- Experienced organizational, written and verbal communication skills
- BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- 2-5 years Accounting or Auditing
- Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
- Proficient in Quick books – On-line systems
- Recent and relevant accounting experience
- Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
- Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
- Vast understanding of US GAAP
- Proficient in Quickbooks – On-line systems
