About the Job
Prominent global company is seeking dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join their team at their U.S. Headquarters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, a keen eye for detail, analytical expertise, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Month-End Close: Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely completion of journal entries, accruals, revenue recognition, and margin analysis for multiple entities.
Financial Analysis: Analyze financial statements and general ledger accounts, ensuring monthly, quarterly, and annual fluctuations align with expectations and are thoroughly documented.
Reconciliations: Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations, roll-forwards, and analyses for key reserves, addressing any discrepancies promptly.
Internal Controls: Support the review and improvement of internal controls related to financial processes.
Audits and Tax Returns: Assist with financial audits and tax preparation, including creating schedules and providing necessary transaction support and explanations.
Ad-Hoc Reporting: Prepare reconciliations, internal reports, and conduct accounting research as needed.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes, schedules, and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (BBA/BS required).
CPA certification or active CPA candidate preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of accounting or tax experience.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
SAP experience highly preferred.
Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including overtime, weekends, and occasional travel.
Exceptional ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
Strong technical, analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
Detail-oriented with problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
