We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team, The individual will be responsible for day-to-day accounting, reporting and analysis, finance systems and process improvement across multiple global entities and functional areas. The ideal candidate will be hands-on and proactive, keen to leverage technology to improve processes and pace of work, and relish the opportunity to bring order in a transformational environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead mandatory reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with domestic and foreign regulations.
- Undertake day-to-day general ledger and period-end activities, including posting journal entries, adjusting the trial balance, calculating accruals and deferrals, and performing comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis.
- Manage various accounting operations such as cash and banking, fixed asset accounting, accounts payables, accounts receivable, expenses and taxes.
- Establish and maintain robust supporting documentation for journal entries, adjustments, accruals, and account balances.
- Review and analyze month end results. Contribute to the preparation of monthly or ad-hoc presentation materials based on monthly results.
- Collaborate with IT and external partners for continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.
- Take the lead in external and/or internal audit engagements, preparing audit materials, responding to inquiries, and monitoring engagement progress.
- Troubleshoot and resolve accounting and reporting issues by partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
- Recommend and implement enhancements to accounting processes and workflows.
- Participate actively in special projects focused on improving process efficiency and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or finance
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in corporate accounting and/or public accounting with experience in multiple geographies.
- CPA preferred.
- Keen interest in system enhancement and process improvement.
- Team player and collaborative.
- Tenacious and resilient, ability to handle ambiguity
- Willingness to be hands on and take on any work required to ensure a high standard of work and business support.
- Ability to work on site 4 days per week.
