Senior Accountant --Revenue

A dynamic start-up with a leading force in their industry. Known for their forward-thinking and customer serving approach, they are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant (Revenue focused) to join their Accounting team and oversee this critical process for the company.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

• Review contracts for terms and deliverables
• Manage the revenue month end close process; help implement ASC 606 standards
• Prepare reconciliations, journal entries and accruals; management reporting, key metrics
• Partner with the Billing Team to ensure proper invoicing and posting customer payments and to ensure proper revenue classification and recognition in accordance with ASC 606
• Ad hoc projects as needed
• Review existing policies and procedures and make efficiency improvements where needed.

Qualifications of the Senior Accountant:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 4-6 years of accounting experience with revenue and financial reporting
• ERP experience with larger system such as NetSuite, SAP or Oracle
• Organized, detail-oriented person who can work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Outgoing personality and able to build relationships easily and collaborate with many departments.
