Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all accounting operations related to manufacturing, inventory, balance sheets, and journal entries.
- Prepare accurate quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation, and analysis.
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
- Oversee taxes and abide by federal regulations.
- Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.
- Review and process journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
- Assist with the management of the general ledger system.
- Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process.
- Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of related accounting experience, preferably in food service or manufacturing industries.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving and analysis skills.
- Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
- Experience with manufacturing, inventory, balance sheets, journal entries, and WIP.
