We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role plays a critical part in our financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounting data. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned. This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a strong understanding of financial accounting principles and excellent analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
2. Perform account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
3. Review financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance.
4. Prepare and file tax returns and work closely with our tax team to ensure proper reporting of all tax liabilities.
5. Assist with audit preparations and respond to auditor requests for support documentation.
6. Analyze financial reports and record discrepancies to ensure efficient, accurate accounting procedures.
7. Collaborate with the finance team to streamline and improve financial processes.
8. Provide guidance to junior accounting staff and oversee their work for accuracy and compliance.
9. Stay updated on industry trends and current financial legislation.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior role.
3. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred.
4. Proficiency in account reconciliation, financial statements, financial accounting, and other key accounting principles.
5. Advanced competency in MS Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
6. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
7. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
11. Proven leadership skills with a dedication to drive and achieve results.
