Senior Accountant - Ascend Talent Partners

We are assisting our client to find a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their team in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities:

Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes

Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports

Reconcile balance sheet accounts and bank statements

Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes

Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis

Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements

Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff

Participate in audits and tax return preparation

Implement and maintain internal controls

Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a senior role

CPA certification preferred

Proficiency in accounting software (large ERP experience preferred)

Advanced Excel skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Experience with financial reporting and analysis
