Senior Accountant – Growth-Focused Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to play a key role in our financial operations. This position involves managing reconciliations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and assisting with month-end closing processes. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to maintaining strong financial controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support monthly financial close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Oversee the preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Analyze financial data, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Supervise accounting functions related to accounts payable, receivables, billing, and procurement.
• Generate and deliver financial reports to senior leadership.
• Manage weekly payment processing and vendor invoicing.
• Handle sales tax filings and ensure compliance with state regulations.
• Assist with external audits, including preparing documentation and coordinating with auditors.
• Review work papers for tax filings and verify compliance.
• Ensure adequate insurance coverage and assist with audits as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• A minimum of five years of accounting experience (experience in public accounting or construction is a plus).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
• Exceptional organizational abilities with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
• A hands-on approach and willingness to take on diverse accounting responsibilities.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate with various departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Education & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
