The Position:
The Corporate Senior Accountant plays a crucial role in the financial management and success of the company's corporate overhead and management entities. This position is responsible for full cycle accounting preparation for the Signorelli corporate entities. This role requires a skilled professional with experience working with complex entity structures, intercompany billings, full scale accounting operations, and preparation of internal and external financial reports. The Corporate Senior Accountant reports to the Corporate Accounting Manager and collaborates with internal accounting and finance teams, internal management teams, and external vendors and lenders to drive financial efficiency, compliance, and profitability throughout the fiscal year. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams to achieve the company's goals and maximize financial performance.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accurate and organized accounting records on the company's accounting drive.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing and reporting of transactional accounting within the company's accounting software and systems.
- Preparation of corporate cash transfer & wire requests.
- Review of corporate accounts payable invoice coding and generation of weekly AP/AR runs.
- Preparation and management of corporate intercompany invoicing and billing.
- Initiate and prepare full scale month-end close process (journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and income statement account review).
- Preparation of internal budget vs. actual reporting and variance analysis.
- Preparation of entity financial statements & bank compliance documents.
- Assist in monitoring the corporate entities' cash position to meet operating needs.
- Assist in preparation of job specific policies and procedures.
- Train new employees in corporate accounting policies and procedures.
- Perform other projects and related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with at least 2-3 years of related experience required.
- Experience with intercompany accounting and working with complex entity structures preferred.
- Public accounting experience a plus.
- Proficiency with an ERP accounting environment (NewStar/Vena/Trovata experience is a plus) and the Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Working knowledge of basic accounting, exposure to corporate/intercompany accounting, and working with complex entity structures preferred.
