About the Job
Our client, a leading telecommunications company, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$90k – $110k
Position Overview:
The Senior Accountant will gain immediate experience mentoring a team of Staff Accountants. Reporting directly to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will have a path for growth to Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:
- Fixed asset depreciation analysis.
- Manage month/quarter/year-end close.
- Review Staff Accountant work for discrepancies.
- Work collaboratively with the Controller and VP of Finance to refine standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Develop strategies and implement efficiencies across department.
- Monthly and quarterly bank compliance.
- Financial statement preparation and reporting.
- Assist with sales and use tax.
Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:
- 3+ years of general accounting.
- Advanced Excel and technical skills.
- Ability to mentor and adapt to change.
- Growth-minded and strong team player.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- CPA a plus.
