Senior Accountant (Chicago, IL) is sought to Prepare federal, state and local income tax returns for individuals and small businesses, ensuring compliance with government tax requirements. Review taxpayer returns & finances and provide tax advisory to help clients achieve their long-term financial goals. Represent clients before tax authorities. Take ownership of key client accounts and develop a deeper understanding of our clients' overall investment needs and provide advisory services to address their needs. Develop new clients through consultation. Comply with internal work procedures and work closely with other associates on various accounting related projects. Supervise and develop staff accountant to aid the future growth of the company. Requires master's degree in Accounting or Accountancy, three years of work experience as a tax accountant or a related occupation with independent tax preparation & tax planning experience in business & individual income tax returns, estate & trust tax returns, and gift tax returns.
