Senior Accountant Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification preferred but not required.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior-level role.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience in property management accounting is highly desirable.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally within the organization.
Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all accounting records are accurate and compliant with GAAP.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements for multiple entities within the property management and sports portfolios.
- Perform general ledger reconciliations and maintain detailed documentation to support audit requirements.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial analysis to guide decision-making processes.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Collaborate with external auditors, tax professionals, and other key stakeholders.
