Our client, a leader in the global manufacturing of heat exchangers, offers a comprehensive range of products including plate heat exchangers, shell and tube heat exchangers, air coolers, cooling towers, and dry coolers, catering to diverse industries like chemical, oil & gas, marine, food & beverage, HVAC, and data centers.
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our client's finance team. In this role, you will support the Finance Director in preparing financial reports, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and assisting with audits. The ideal candidate is an analytical problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Reconcile sub-ledger accounts to the general ledger, ensuring all balances are correct.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and budget variance reports.
- Evaluate internal controls, perform risk assessments, and identify potential risk areas.
- Ensure timely publication of financial statements, and manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable, and ensure the timely processing of bank payments.
- Calculate taxes, prepare tax filings, and ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and policies.
- Conduct audits of financial transactions and documents, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to internal controls.
- Provide regular reports on the company's financial health, including liquidity analysis.
- Support data integrity by performing regular database backups and enforcing confidentiality protocols.
- Assist with audit processes and support the maintenance of the general ledger.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting and analyzing business data.
- Solid understanding of mathematical concepts, including the ability to calculate percentages, commissions, and other financial metrics.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Excellent reasoning and critical-thinking abilities to solve problems and interpret instructions.
